Superhuman nature - Caroline has superhuman strength, speed, senses, endurance and healing factor. She can hear whispered conversations, even ones in far off buildings, smell blood, and see in total darkness. Like all vampires, Caroline has the ability to control minds, plague people's dreams, and alter/erase human memories. And of course, Caroline is immortal. Though it's not to say that she can't die. She's vulnerable to sunlight without her ring, must drink blood regularly to survive, she's vulnerable to vervain. And let's not mention that if you drive a stake through her heart or rip it out of her chest she'll die.

Her style has changed dramatically, having turned darker since she turned into a vampire, but stayed natural as well.

She is bright and cheerful with a streak of bitchiness that makes her very competitive.Though she has grown quite a bit since becoming a vampire. She's become far less self-centered, looking out for the safety of those around her, often putting others before herself. She's also become less judgmental than she once was. Now that she's been judged harshly for being what she is, she's less inclined to take others at face value and takes the time to get to know people and give them the benefit of the doubt. However, she's become less trusting. Caroline tends to let her feelings cloud her judgment, she doesn't always think before she acts or speaks.
She's always the one planning a party in the middle of an apocalypse to keep everyones spirits up. She just wants everybody to be happy and healthy, so she often tries to be the peacekeeper of the mediator when she feels the need. She offers advice and tries to make people see situations from a few different angles to help them make a more informed decision. This advice is mostly unsolicited, but given with the best intentions. Caroline can be bossy, secretive, and stubborn, and she's a bit high maintenance in some respects. But, she has a good heart and she's highly protective of her loved ones. Despite her bright and cheerful personality, Caroline is commonly known for insecurities; which causes her to become excessively competitive,

Being the head cheerleader, chair of the dance committee, and also arranging several other things in school, Caroline has always been one of the more popular and well-known girls. Well-known, not necessarily well-liked. Perhaps some also would say she’s an overachiever, wanting it all to be very much perfect. Her mother being the sheriff of Mystic Falls, her dad left sometime when she was younger, taking off with another man. Still, her life was rather normal. The deep shadow of her powerful mother seemed to cause her to be insecure and neurotic rather than inspired. However, the values of courage and loyalty instilled in her by her mother would have a profound effect on her once circumstances brought them to the surface. Starting to date Matt, things seemed to be working out great - but that was of course until Katherine Pierce came along, suffocating her at the hospital, turning her into a vampire. Her world abruptly changing, she was thrown into a life of supernatural existence without even wanting to. Shortly thereafter, Caroline lost control of her new urges and devoured a man. However, she has since mastered her hunger. Or at least, she's not killed another human because of her hunger. It's an ongoing battle, trying to not give into it.
